We used A-1 Renovations for two different jobs. The first job was to replace the wood around our garage door with composit material. The job was done quickly and the price was reasonable.
The second time we used A-1 was to repair/replace drywall in the house after we had a plumbing leak. We expanded this project to include fixing bulging drywall in our garage, reparing various drywall issues in the garage, insulating the garage attic, and painting. We also had them install new recessed lights in the garage over our work bench. We were very satisfied with the work that was done and with the team that performed the work. I would definitely use A-1 for other projects in our home.

Alisher and his team were excellent to work with. The bathroom project was priced fairly, completed in less time than projected and the response time to any question or need was immediate. I’ve worked with several contractors over the years, and A-1 is far and away the best and most professional.

I would actually give A-1 Renovations a 4 1/2 star review if I could. Importantly, we love our bathroom renovations! The work crew got rid of a huge, unused whirlpool bathtub, an annoying ceiling overhang, and rerouted plumbing so we could have a clean, open look to our master bathroom. We finally have room to move! They also built a bench into our shower so I could sit and shave, and installed a shower door that swings both out, and in so water doesn't drip on the floor. The guys worked incredibly hard, did a very nice job, always left the place clean, and were really nice people. None of the cabinets were damaged (my biggest worry). Plus, they gave us, by FAR, the best estimate.
My complains just involve missed communications by the contractor at times, both to us and his crew. E.g. the crew purchased an inexpensive plastic edging for the tiled showers when the contractor had already purchased a much nicer chrome edging I had ordered from The Tile Shop, which was sitting out in the garage. I believe I got charged for both, and now I have inferior edging in one of the bathrooms. In another case, the contractor drew lines on the bathroom floor to mark the size and shape of the shower (this was helpful), but asked us if they should build the wall inside or outside of the line (what do I know about this?). I picked 'inside', but realized too late that my choice decreased the space of my already small shower by 3 1/2 square feet. A contractor could easily provide information on differences in final shower size for each option up front to allow the customer to make a better choice. Finally, when the renovation was complete, the crew insisted we pay the balance right then, and wouldn't explain why I couldn't have a walk through with the contractor first. Turns out he was on vacation (we all need these, so this wasn't a problem for us), but he didn't cash the check till he got home anyway. What was the rush?
Overall, our complaints were minor, we now have two lovely bathrooms, and we'd consider using this company again.
